School Accountability Report Cards (SARCs)

State and federal law requires all public schools receiving state funding to annually prepare and distribute a School Accountability Report Card (SARC). Schools are required to publish their SARCs each year by February 1.  The purpose of the SARC is to provide parents and the community with important information about each public school, including the following:
  • Demographic data
  • School safety and climate for learning information
  • Assessment data
  • School completion rates
  • Class sizes
  • Teacher and staff information
  • Curriculum and instruction descriptions
  • Post-secondary preparation information
  • Fiscal and expenditure data
Current SARCs for all SBCUSD schools are available online through the District website and at Hard copies are available upon request from each school or from the District’s Communications Department. Prior years' SARCs are available online through the District website.

For more information about SARC requirements, please see A Parent's Guide to the SARC on the California Department of Education (CDE) website.
