Language Arts

Our first theme is: Growing and Changing
The first standard we will focus on is: Reading 3.2
Students will analyze the effect of the qualities of the character (like courage or cowardice) on the plot and resolution of the conflict
Students will read be given a reading log and expected to read at least 20 minutes a night.

Technolgy

Introduction to the Design Cycle

Our team is currently learning about poetry, figurative language, sound devices and how to appreciate, as well as write all forms of poetry.

Students should read every day, at least 30 minutes.  All students are given a reading log to record their progress.  The students are encouraged to take AR quizzes at home following the reading of their books.  The link:
