For the past two (2) school years, our Board of Education has made funds available to support innovative programs and unique opportunities to increase student achievement. We are pleased to announce that Innovation Grant funds will be available for the 2016-2017 school year.
All members of the school community - teachers, parents, students, administration and community partners - are eligible for grant funding ranging from between $7,500 to $200,000. All grant proposals must clearly support the District’s Community Engagement Plan (CEP). A summary of the CEP is attached to
this email and the plan in its entirety can be reviewed
on the District’s website at www.sbcusd.com\strategies.
In order to allow for purchases to be made and so that materials can be received in time for the beginning of the school year, the following timeline will be used:
- Grant Announcement Period: January 21-February 15, 2016
- Letter of Interest (LOI) to apply: no later than February 16, 2016
- Applications submitted: no later than March 1, 2016
- Applications/Proposals Reviewed: March 1-15, 2016
- Approved Grants to Board of Education: April 5, 2016
