ARTS AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES

THEATRE ARTS
We are a Linked Learning pathway with a focus on preparing students to major in the discipline as well as have careers in Theatre Arts. Students are also given the opportunity to earn an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma. Students will leave the program with many opportunities for hands-on classroom experiences.

INDUSTRY SECTOR: Arts, Media and Entertainment

FILM THEORY AND PRODUCTION
Students in the Academy of Arts and Communication Technologies (AACT) Film Theory and Production Pathway will develop a portfolio that will gain the attention of colleges with strong film and visual arts programs and provide evidence of professional experience in the field of film production. Additionally, AACT Film students will develop the analytical, technical, and collaborative skills needed to continue working in media and other viable industries.

INDUSTRY SECTOR: Arts, Media and Entertainment

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY & CYBER SECURITY
This pathway combines the technical skills of Cyber Security and Information Technology with the creativity of Digital Design, providing students with an array of hands-on experience needed to excel in their respective industries. Cyber Security and other IT related jobs are not just limited to one industry sector but a wide range of other industries, such as healthcare, banking, or any other organization that deals with personal information and privacy. Much of the pathway will be dedicated to safeguarding the storage, transmission, and retrieval of data as essential to any organization that holds its critical business functions on computer information systems.

AUTOMOTIVE AND CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGIES

AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGIES
The pathway is designed to provide a unique and rigorous learning environment for high school students. It ensures both academic success and career technical education mastery, as well as promotes enthusiasm for lifelong learning. Furthermore, it prepares students for post-secondary education, including apprenticeships and immediate employment.

INDUSTRY SECTOR: Transportation

BUILDING TRADES AND CONSTRUCTION
Students engage in an instructional program that integrates academic and technical preparation and focuses on career awareness, career exploration, and skill preparation in the building and construc­tion trades industry. The pathway emphasizes processes, systems, and the way in which structures are built. Knowledge and skills are acquired in a sequential, standards-based pathway program that integrates hands-on, project-based, and work-based instruction.

PUBLIC POLICY & HUMAN SERVICES

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES
This pathway is focused on reflecting the four pillars of Linked Learning. The first is to provide students with an introduction to, and foundational instruction for, careers in the Behavioral Health and Human Services fields. The second is to provide students with hands-on, worked-based learning experiences that will give them the opportunity to both observe and assist professionals in these fields through school to work opportunities. The third is to provide a rigorous academic and technical core that will result in successful completion of both the A-G sequence, additional A-G courses appropriate to the field, and of advanced, college-level course work. The fourth is to provide students mentoring with professionals within the industry; and furthermore, with personalized support with college research, admissions and the financial aid and scholarship process.

INDUSTRY SECTOR: Mental and Behavioral Health, Public Services

LOGISTICS & BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
This pathway is in partnership with Amazon, and its program of study is designed to prepare students for employment in the field of Logistics and Business. Students will learn the skills and applications of information and decision technology, management systems that support industry partners, business leadership, economics, and encourage students to be a contributing member of the community. The program enables students to practice innovative and critical thinking skills as they develop solutions to authentic logistics problems businesses regularly face locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.

MEDICAL, HEALTH, AND BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES

PATIENT CARE - MEDICAL ASSISTING

Upon successful completion of all required sequenced courses, students will be placed in the medical industry sector for an internship during their senior year. Upon completion of the internship, they will receive certification and be eligible for the State Board Examination for Medical Assisting.

SPORTS MEDICINE
Sports Medicine is a College and Career Pathway that offers students opportunities to work “real-time” sporting events on campus as well as gaining multiple certifications. In addition, our partnerships allow for students to be offered the chance to migrate to community college programs in the field of athletic training, as well as majoring in the discipline at any university.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES
The Emergency Medical Services pathway provides a foundation and understanding of incident management, and pre-hospital care for the sick and injured. This pathway provides skills to prepare those interested in a career as a firefighter, law enforcement, and emergency medicine. Upon successful completion of the course, students will have the opportunity to receive certifications in: First Responder, Blood-Borne Pathogens, CPR/AED, and First Aid. Internships are available during Junior and Senior year.
